This blogspot site is designed to provide information and history on the Massey Ferguson, Inc. agricultural implement and tractor factory that operated in Des Moines, Iowa from 1965-1982. Massey Ferguson, Inc. moved it's corporate offices from Detroit, Michigan to 1901 Bell Ave. in Des Moines, Iowa in 1965, and opened an implement assembly and manufacturing operation of almost 600,000 square ft. at the same time.

The Massey Ferguson production facility at 1901 Bell Ave, Des Moines, Iowa, along with the offices for MF's North American Headquarters, as the complex appeared in the late 1960s.
Massey had great early tractors that were related to some HENRY FORD ideas. Then they messed up their transmissions forever, starting with multi-power. NEVER RECOVERED. too bad. Tractors are at the head of a full line ag implement company. The tractors took down the great combine heritage of Massey Ferguson with them.
